One thing I experienced in beginning to meditate was a serious kind of anger and rage when I would come out of my meditations. These also resulted in direct, instantaneous extremely negative manifestations.
Needless to say, that turned me off of meditation for awhile, but I have since heard/read that this is actually a common occurance and you just have to get past it.
Eventually I did. I use grounding crystals too. Just hold one in your hand or place on a body part that corresponds to it's particular chakra. Examples would be hematite, blue lace agate, but my favorite is red jasper. I even carry one with me in my pocket. For your situation, I would recommend black onyx.
