I don't see the difference in these perspectives because the first ideas about stopping desiring is not what those authors are really saying. They are saying to not be attached to desires.
Which is also said in the LoA stuff with intending and the idea that you can't desire out of feeling lack since then you are putting out the vibe of lack.
