In my experience, strong emotion by itself is not a hindrance. It is the direction of that emotion that matters. It the strong emotion is aligned with the intention it will make manifestation better (faster, exceeding expectations, more surprising). If the strong emotion is not aligned with the manifestation, it can ruin it. "Not aligned" can mean different things. For example, when seeing first synchronisms, I get too excited as if I already gotten what I wanted - the manifestation fizzles.
Or I intend something and then start to fear that it will manifest - no go either.
