Hypnotism appears to fall into the same perceptual category as accupunture, chiropractics, naturopathy, and other forms of alternative medicine.
The bottom line in all treatment successes still seems to be about the patients
"belief" in the methodology and their willingness to let go of anything but the desire for a positive outcome.
Both hypnotism and acupuncture have worked for me.
I believe in their success, which I guess is really a belief in my own success using those treatments as a prop so to speak.
They also both follow the negative belief breaking formula; by diverting the old belief system long enough from its association in the brain, that a new installation is accepted.
As I write this I am also considering the link between our beliefs and rituals in everyday life.
And I am thinking I want to put some of the awesome suggestions in this thread to work, daily.
