My favorite two vortexes were Cathedral Rock, which can be reached by a beatiful 10-15 minute walk along a creek under a canopy of trees, and Boynton Canyon, reachable after an uphill hike with an amazing view.

You can get free vortex maps anywhere or even find them online.

To "get your message," sit quietly, breathe deeply, silence your inner mind, and just listen for as long as it takes. Shut off your external perceptions and tune into your inner senses.

My experience at every vortex was unique, but it was always successful and unlike other meditations I've done anywhere else.

The airport vortex was the hardest for me -- I sat for 10 minutes picking up absolutely nothing. Then images began to come through very gradually at first, eventually picking up speed and unfolding into a dream-like sequence of instructions. I remember that particular message was a very powerful one for me last time I was there.

At other vortexes like Boynton Canyon, I started picking up impressions even before I got there.

Typical the messages I picked up would take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes to unfold before I sensed they were done. Erin was almost always done before me.

I loved Sedona, and I'm glad it's only a 4-hour drive from Vegas. They have a nice vegan restaurant there too (D'Lish) as well as a raw restaurant.
