Life is all a game played by Consciousness - Brahman. Call it whatever you may like - god or universe. Yes I am refering to Hindusim and Buddhism and Taoism concepts.
There is no Higher self out there. All the guides, spirits, higher selves etc exists because of the Supreme Power. In other it exists because god imagines them to exist or "YOU" choose them to exist.
You can either be a role player in this game or you can be the one who creates the game a.k.a enlightement - which in a way means you dont have to play the game. If you choose to play the game, then you will be reborn.
All the great mystics and teachers say its hard to describe Brahman with words. The mind cannot understand something that has no form. It needs form to understand something.....and hence the confusion about Subjective reality in this forum.
So if you want to know why your higher self wants to be born, go within and ask yourself. You can ask us 10 people and you will get 10 different answers. What will you do then ?
Only you know the real answer. Ask your - self.
