No one should miss Heroes. Other great shows are House MD and Studio 60. But always as a download (or once on a DVD).
It is amazing how different of an experience is watching things on your own schedule. You engage fully when watching them, but do not watch anything that you don't want, just to kill time (and no ads of course).
