VetTechJess, I use AdSense in most of my blogs and I have more than 3 posts showing in the home page. Have you tried pasting the AdSense code and setting WP to show more than 3 posts? In my blogs, no matter how many post I have set up to show in the home page, AdSense only appears in the first three, so you might want to try that yourself - unless you really want only 3 posts to show, in which case the navigation links at the bottom you described should already be in your theme. If not, you can easily find the code at the WP codex under "tags" and then all you have to do is add them to your theme where you want the links to appear.
As for the calendar, calendars look cute and all but I'm not sure they are all that useful. My guess is that most people don't use it. You see, when someone is looking for information, they are more likely to run a search rather than try to guess when you posted about it. I refrain from using calendars because they take up space in the sidebar and don't add much to the visitor's experience. |
