All I know is that by the time I was 20, I was beginning to resemble a Klingon. Full beard, ponytail, and a highly visible 'dome' on top. My Maternal Grandfather had the same hair pattern, although there may have been environmental factors as well in my case. For about five years when I was a teenager, I did not have regular access to running hot water and showers. Needless to say, I did not wash my hair as often as I should have, back then, so that may have been a contributing factor.
