VetTechJess is on a distinguished road
Default How do I know what to work on if nobody will tell me?!?!?!

I have been searching for a veterinary job forever now it seems...(actually, theres an Official Count Up of how long I have been searching for a veterinary job on my myspace page.... MySpace.com - *Jessica* - 23 - Female - CATLETTSBURG, Kentucky - www.myspace.com/12jdrowe ... but anyways...)

Every veterinary job I applied to except a couple...looked like I was gonna get the job--then it was given to someone else! I called and asked why and was told simply: the job had been given to someone else...

no explanation as to why or anything. Hell I wish these interviewers for vet clinics would tell me why I didnt get hired so I would know what to work on! I market my veterinary technician education in lieu of my lack of clinical experience

If it was lack of experience, then I am SOL there, because I have tried to volunteer/intern at every vet clinic in the area in which I live, but ive been told that they cannot accept volunteers or interns because their insurance policy prohibits it! (I guess we know who truely runs things in the veterinary world, don't we??)

Keep in mind for each and every one of the interviews, I dressed professionally, neat in appearance, etc. read up on tips on what to do, say, how to look, dress, what research on the company to do, how to be friendly, etc and followed them to the letter without looking like I was fake.

What can I do?!?! I dont want to change the wrong thing then be screwed over times two (or more). If it was job history, then I can keep a job for a year (my current one) to show stability...if thats what they wanted...but the thing is I am never told so I am at a total loss for what to work on!

ANY ADVICE TO SOOTHE A SORE SPIRIT! IM TIRED OF THIS SAME SONG AND DANCE AND GOING UP THE SAME ROAD ALL THE TIME ONLY TO BE TOLD THE SAME THINGS: NOTHING

sorry for the caps at the end I needed to vent
