Nooo! No Bag Balm in the cake! That's for the infamous bad case of cycling nipple!
For the cake:
3 1/2 cups flour
5 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
16 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1/3 cup canned coconut milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the buttercream frosting
2 cups sugar
6 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
A pinch of salt
1 1/4 pounds unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Bake cake
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl; set aside. Using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until the mixture is light yellow. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the coconut milk and the flour mixture alternately, ending with the flour mixture, and continuing to beat well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
2. Divide the batter evenly among 2 lightly buttered and floured 9-inch round pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool in the pan, then invert onto cooling racks.
For the icing: Scald 3/4 a cup heavy cream. Remove from heat. Add 8 oz good quality white chocolate and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Pour into bowl and let set overnight. Then whip up with 1 3/4 cups heavy cream until stiff. Cover cooled cake! Easy!
