When I changed my Worpdress theme on my site from Prosense to Grid Focus the AdSense ads on my site got completely screwed up and started showing ads for caribbean dating sites. It took about a week before it fixed itself and started showing relevant ads.
Give it time, and consider using the section targetting code.
