I absolutely agree with you. Everytime my intentions have manifested successfully, it's been when I haven't obsessed about them. The universe can read the deepest desires of your heart and if your desires remain consistant, they will manifest. I also find that I often am tempted to take what Steve calls the "alpha reflection" for the actual manifestation.
I put out an intention for a Siamese kitten and that evening one of my sons friends had a siamese kitten that his mother had brought with her when she fetched him. Manifestation? No. That kitten belonged to someone else and wasn't for sale, but it was the universes' way of saying: "I heard you". My intention is still out there and the siamese kitten that is meant for me and my family will manifest when the time is right. Patience is another thing I've discovered one needs.
