My best guess at the kind of reasoning behind such actions are that they are made from an idealistic standpoint. In an "ideal" world (according to their views), no one ever has sex outside the marriage and inside the marriage no one ever has sex for other reasons than to procreate. So, in that ideal world birth control measures would not be necessary.
It's unfortunate that this group of people fails to see that we are not living in their ideal world. Can't blame 'em really. I'd have trouble seeing too, if I had my head as far up my ass as they have... |
