Default Want to Learn/Use SQL on Mac

I'm looking for an optimal option for using SQL on my iBook running OSX 10.3.9. I'm quite familiar with relational databases, but have really only used Filemaker Pro and a little Access. As Filemaker isn't SQL based, I only have a little experience with it. I want want to learn on the fly, though.

I don't have much experience running command-line programs, but I'm not against learning if I had the proper tutorial. Something with a nice GUI would work, too. Any suggestions, both about what to install and references to use? Access would be ideal if I owned a PC, as it's graphical but also allows for SQL code inputs.

Thanks in advance for the help.
