I just reread the whole series after five years.
I'm not convinced this is "God", but I also can't totally negate the possibility either, because I can't prove if it is, or it isn't. If it is, then we have a far more compassionate and loving God than the one I was taught to be terrified of by the time I was 4 , which the books point out almost immediately. It was actually hard for me to accept at first because of this.
Then , I just allowed myself to become more open minded, and I really no longer believe that God is a Jewish man in the sky. It's actually amazing how we can believe in these things when they're drilled into us at an early age. Then again, I told my kids a little fairy took bought their teeth and a fat elf brought them presents on Christmas, so almost anything is believable if it's presented properly.
I will say this. There is much wisdom in the books, and many great ideas that would probably benefit the human race if they were implemented. Some of it is a bit too liberal/collective/socialistic for my taste on the political end, because I don't trust people to implement those kind of societies, for many reasons; but that doesn't lessen the overall value of the info for me or anyone else. I can't see humanity ever embracing some of the concepts I'm talking about anyway. Humans are just way too selfish by nature, and way to zealous when it comes to their own "God".
