Default A related question

It is great that you are asking questions Nelson, because that is the only way to find answers. The David has cautioned against asking questions because the truth you find may not be what you expect it to be. But I suspect his caution is very much tongue-in-cheek and that he is happier with the truth his personal searching has brought him to, than he was with the truth that was given to him by others.

You have been given a range of answers which basically shows that there is no single definitive answer to your question. Perhaps your best route is to read the scriptures yourself and make up your own mind on what they say.

I would like to ask you to consider another (related) question. How sure are you that even those (you included) that have accepted Christ will go to heaven, even if the Christian Bible is true? Think about Adam and Eve. They were placed in the Garden of Eden which was basically heaven on earth. Everything was perfect for them until they screwed it up by disobeying God.

Now, Adam and Eve were the very first people on earth and they screwed it up for everyone for thousands of years to come. It was only when God took pity on his creation and sent Jesus to die that humans had a chance once more to enter heaven. My question is - if the very first people on earth angered God sufficiently for him to close the doors of heaven for thousands of years how good are the chances that someone who has died and gone to heaven in the last 2000 years has screwed it up again and now closed the doors to this heaven - just the way Adam and Eve did it before. We may all be waiting again for God to find pity in his heart and deciding to send Jesus to die again? Or maybe one of his other sons - you know, the ones that used to come to earth and screw the human women in the time of Noah (Genesis Ch 6 Vs 1-4). At least those sons deserve some punishment.

Think about it.
