Here it is:
Most guys are nice guys I think. However if a girl smiles at them out of the blue, a part of the man-brain kicks in that says, "hey, you might have a chance with her, go for it!" Especially if the girl is pretty. I think this thought is a hard-wired response. Us guys can't really help it.

If you are a cute girl who is fun and cheerful, guys will naturally be attracted to you, whether you smile at them or not. If you smile at everybody, then guys are more likely to just think that you are just being your happy self. If you only smile at certain guys, then they are more likely to think about more than friendship. If you don't smile at all, then people won't be attracted to you that much, male or female.
