ltc, I agree with some others that it is wise to try and gain self-acceptance as well as going through some sort of counseling for the trauma you experienced when you were younger. I am pretty sure most of these guys just think you're pretty and that's a fine thing. If there are any truly inappropriate guys who take it too far (making comments that make you uncomfortable, etc.) then I would make a point to do something to stop it. Otherwise, I feel it's mostly a compliment, though I can certainly see why it makes you uncomfortable.
