So, I've read some of Steve's articles. I truly believe that his article on redirecting thoughts is the key! I've always just tried to "change the channel" whenever an urge to view porn enters my mind. That never really worked. I now have a whole scene where I go from that thought to viewing myself in all white, standing in a pure place with my family and saying to myself that I am pure and free of any addiction!

I think if I confided with someone, that would help too. I just don't have many friends, let alone close ones that I share things of this nature with. I'll have to work on this one because I think having someone to help me would help.

Also, I've meditated before but not consistently. I will do that daily now. I think that that will help also.

And I will grab my guitar and start playing once I get an urge to view any websites.

So that's my plan. Maybe, I'll report back every week or so... or I could start a blog...

Thanks everyone!

Porn IS NOT REALITY!

Escapism is what you are engaging in: nothing more nothing less.

To break the cycle of porn, what you have to do is preempt the urge by either challenging the addiction face on and telling your demons that you will not be a slave to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, or to get rid of the blue balls by one way or another.

For me I think porn is just porn. Its a niche for the deprived and lonely, for the desperate and wanting.

Its just ************ really.
