I post here for the same reason... but I really do, to be honest, care about the traffic. More traffic means that more people are reading my articles, which means that my writing is reaching more people. The traffic matters to me not to show that I'm 'important', nor for money (which at this point is negligible anyway), but because it shows that people like what I write (ie they give me a thumbs up or better yet subscribe).

Oh, and this one might be interesting to a lot of you, it's about depression, and my experience/what I learned from being depressed when I was younger. It's also already in my top 5 visited articles (it has approximately 1100 visitors so far), and is still in mid-popularity:
