Seven years ago, when I was a lawyer, 8:30 pm is about the time I'd pop out of office for a quick dinner. After dinner, it's straight back to the office, and work till 11:30 pm or even later. Get home after midnight, feeling zonked and very stressed out over work, and with no time for anything except fall asleep. Wake up the next morning, and it's the same drill again.
My monthly salary today is 6.5 times what it was, seven years ago.
I do not prefer hard work. |
You too? My schedule at one point was - 9am-5pm, meet wife for dinner at a restaurant, back to work at 7pm, work till midnight, run to corner store with co-workers to get some coffee and sugar/snacks, back to work till around 5am or 6am, go home, sleep till noon, work at 1pm, 5pm go for dinner, back at 7am ..." I worked Mon-Sat for a long time. Sunday was my day off where I spent most of it working anyways.
Never did make any money, until I read The Science of Getting Rich and totally changed everything.
**Edit: People who believe that hard work is the secret to success - have you ever tried working 100+hours/week for an extended period of time?
