Default Brick walls

Oftimes when I am working on a project, I'll be running along with a full head of steam when all of the sudden, I will slam head-first into a brick wall. Not literally, but rather come across an unexpected problem that impedes my progress until I figure a way over/through/around it. One solution to such problems is just keep pounding my head against said wall, trying to keep my prior momemtum by immediately trying various half-thought through solutions, hoping that my skull was thicker than the bricks. Sometimes that would work, while more often than not, all I would wind up with was a headache. However, I think much better solution is to back away from the project and take a break for a few minutes. What I usually do is brew a cup of Earl Grey (or an herbal blend) tea. By the time the tea has cooled enough to drink, I will be able to aproach the brick wall with a fresh perspective, and usually be able to see what the problem really is, and think through to a solution. I think it is usually better to think your way through a brick wall, than continuously pound your head against one.
