Once you've been around awhile (that'd be 53 years for me), it seems time goes rocket fast. Why? Who knows, but most of us in this age group seem to agree on this notion.

I remember when the 3 months of summer vacation from school (that is, elementary school especially, junior high pretty much and high school probably_---but I remember elementary school especially. That 3 months was an eternity in heaven, no kidding! Anybody remember that?
I read an intresting explanation for this. It is to do with how long you have been alive.

So if you are six years old the 3 months summer holiday would take up a large portion of you life. As we know 3 months when you are six is equal to 1/24 of your life or 4%.

Now you said your 53, the same 3 months period account for 1/212 or 0.47%

You now have had 9 times more life experience and it may well feel as though it is going ten times faster. 4% compared to .47% .

I am sure you can consiously control time as people have stated. If you put your mind to it. I generally find, like most people, that time does the exact reverse of what you want it to do. If I'm out having a great time, but have something to do later, you can bet that time will fly by. If I'm sat listening to a boring speech, it will drag and drag.

Have fun

Dan
