Reading for Pleasure
I know we've had plenty of threads discussing PD books and/or books that have impacted our lives. Here's a thread to tell everyone about the books we read for fun or just because we love to read. The idea is that we can learn about some books/authors we may not have heard about before, but would enjoy. I'll start:
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Anything by Kurt Vonnegut (but especially Cat's Cradle and Slaughterhouse Five)
Anything by Nick Hornby
The Awakening by Kate Chopin
Yes, I also love Jane Austen
Affluenza by Clive Hamilton and Richard Denniss
Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared M. Diamond
The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky (and his other books)
The Violent Bear It Away by Flannery O'Connor
And of course there's more, but I think that's good enough to start.
How about you?
