Shamou, I don't think that it's the term, "massive action" that has raised people's ire so much as your apparent judgement about massive action.
For instance, it would be very easy for a reader to logically infer from your comment above that you judge that someone who doesn't take massive action (or believe that it's necessary) doesn't contribute and is therefore worthless. I'm sure you can see that such an inference would rankle.
You seem to feel very strongly about your beliefs, and you have apparently gotten wonderful results by following them. I'm very happy for you! And I would love for you to see that your arguments sometimes occur as a little oppressive, in that they don't leave a lot of space of freedom. I don't think you mean to, but sometimes your posts sound very "my way or the highway!"
And I believe that it's important to you to inspire people, not to make them take to the road. Right?
