Download the SearchStatus extension for Firefox and you can see all nofollow links in pink. That's how I easily knew the sigs. here are not nofollowed.
You are correct that there are some other internal links here being nofollowed, but that has nothing to do with signatures.
If this were my forum, I would make the signatures only seen by registered users, and thus they wouldn't be indexed nor followed by search engines. That stops those people from simply coming in and making posts in order to gain link popularity.
That ensures that those who post do it for the right reasons, i.e., they have a legitimate concern or they want to help others with theirs. |
