It shits me to read about parents being childish like that. Like some quote for a movie with keanu reeves, "you need a licence to drive a car, hell you even need a licence to own a dog. But any but reamin' ******* can be a father"
please excuse the language but i wanted to get the quote right, it's suck with me for years.
The thing here is too see if you can rise above all this. If you can learn why and see things through her eyes and understand what drives her, then you will be fine and have learned a valuable lesson.
Rise above the childishness, don't react.
Other than I can only suggest that maybe there is a mutual friend, an aunt or uncle that can help mediate, or even the school counsellor or something.
