Question Chronic Fatigue

I am tired all the time. When I wake up, as the day goes on, at night, all the time. The problem is that I have trouble falling asleep at night and getting fully rested because it takes me so long to fall asleep once I lay down and close my eyes, and then I can't stay asleep more than 4-5 hours at a time without waking up and not being able to fall asleep again. Then I am dragging all day and end up falling asleep in the afternoon for an hour or so, and that throws off my sleep at night even more. I end up doing a weird cycle where I stay awake later and later every night until I end up all night and have to force myself to stay awake all day or I will never be able to sleep and get up the morning after that and do the things I need to get done.

I would go to the doctor for this problem, but we have no insurance and I don't have enough extra cash right now to pay for a doctor visit. That will all change early next year (hopefully by March) but in the meantime I am struggling here. It isn't a depression problem. I have had bouts of depression enough in my life to know what that feels like for me personally, and I am very happy with my life right now.

Any suggestions on what I can try? Diet? Vitamins? Sleep aids? Meditation? ANYTHING? TIA!!

"Yes, the long war on Christianity. I pray that one day we may live in an America where Christians can worship freely! In broad daylight! Openly wearing the symbols of their religion…. perhaps around their necks? And maybe — dare I dream it? — maybe one day there can be an openly Christian President. Or, perhaps, 43 of them. Consecutively." — Jon Stewart
