Default Parents use police as their tool to settle arguments

I am 17 years old and a male. Today me and my mom had an argument and she spilled water on me while I was studying. She walked away childishly into the garage after I asked her what was her problem. Then I filled up my cup and poured water on her after she came back later.
She just called the police and twisted the story a little and the police didnt even hear my side of the story. He interrupted everytime I tried to say something. He just told me that I was going to get arrested if it happened again.

The problem is that this happens a lot. I feel like the police is picking on me because I am a minor or the "weakest link." I say stuff like this is injustice, and it gets nowhere. Is the world really this unfair or can I do something about it? My mom does all kinds of crazy stuff and gets away with it. Lol i know this sounds like the typical weirdo kid saying all this stuff, but i just want to make sure i know the laws and stuff and am being treated fairly. The police doesn't seem all that much like the arbitrator or the protector of justice.
