When I was younger I used to get them as worse as you're getting them now.
It's not dental hygiene or when you brush. Look at what happens when you have them: it hurts to eat and it hurts to talk. When sores like this come up, you're blocking your normal flow of energy in the body. And the body lets you know quite painfully.

But we want to make it about the brushing, flossing, food, phases of the moon, or side of the bed we sleep on so we don't deal with the issue at hand.

eating is how you nurture yourself.
talking is how you express yourself.

You are blocking your flow of self-nurturance and self-expression. Think of how you do not support yourself during your day. Do you let yourself get stressed out? Do you take a break when you want to? Do you ignore signals coming from yourself to do different things than you are doing? Blocking all that can leave you feeling less than kind to yourself.

Self expression. What are you not saying? What are you not expressing? If you're no supporting yourself you might be silently mad at yourself or projecting it on to others.

Look at these two areas of your life more closely, especially when the sores start.
