[QUOTE=Vorhidin;10335Maybe I just fear the act of letting me go, to take the initiative and the responsability...
We act like very complicated apes, don't you think so?
(Apart, I find funny this situation of having to communicate in english, [/QUOTE]

How about setting yourself up to practice for 5 (FIVE) minutes every day, to begin with and at a specific time. Make it so that all you have to do is pick up your guitar and play.
Either set up with music that you know, or something to tell you what you are going to play (name of song if you don't read music) or something EASY to learn, bar by bar (that's measure by measure).
Also how about getting a notebook or on your computer, if handy, and making a guitar log.
First column: date and time you start to play (put all the dates in for 21
days)
Second column: you make a check mark after you play
Third column: How long by the clock, you actually played
Fourth column: Comments if you want to write them, on how this is
working, what you played, how it felt (?) to play and strategies to
broaden this approach

Then, let's see what happens. Will your love for your music come out and get you to do more? I expect it will...

This is just the sort of thing I do when I want to get myself off the ground on something and when I do this, it always teaches me something!

Hmm....just a few frequent flyer miles, that's all we'd need. For now a discussion? You never know....

We could do that as well! I think each level of specific focus for a group has its own merits. One for awhile on practicing, intentions and musical development, self discipline strategies for music might be real helpful from what I'm seeing.

Another one for creative professionals sounds great.

I guess I should be trusting the universe...And I've had similar worries along the way here (What if I get stage fright? What if I forget the song?) that in retrospect smoothed themselves out very nicely - the worries weren't unfounded, but sometimes the best thing to do is just acknowledge the worry and keep on moving forward...

Thanks for writing back, Ati, this looks it may be a good thread!
Sounds like an all or nothing deal, is it really? Maybe so....if your demo went off to someone like Pat Metheny and he said Yeah come on tour, you'd be touring non stop for however long that was. In other cases, it seems a more gradual transition by its very nature.

Also may be that you are (inside) looking at whether or not you're up for making a break from a mixed situation (day job and music) to music alone.
Lots involved in that, isn't there, and a lot of variables for different people and different situations.

Keep us posted as you want to! Will be so interesting to see how it all turns out, maybe you'll find a great temporary spot in the middle, who knows?
All best with all of that!

Best to all!
