Skimming through your post, I can come only to the conclusion that you've completely closed your mind to this issue and are not open to intelligent debate. This is scary IMO and makes me wonder why you're inquiring about people's thoughts if you only intend to refute them.
If alcohol is a trap for you, I definitely commend you for staying away from it. As for me, I'll continue to drink occasionally knowing that I'm the one maintaining control over the beverage, not the other way around. Finally, I've seen alcohol do the ultimate damage: lead people to suicide. I've seen two cases of this personally. How can you have seen worse?
