Hm...a discussion group or a full-fledged band? I have plenty of space, if everyone brings sleeping bags and doesn't mind the floor!

This sounds great - I was thinking another option/possibility would be to broaden membership to 'creative professionals' - since I see we have some filmmakers and writers also.

I'm focusing on what I'll have to do IF I succeed vs. just pouring my enthusiasm into my songs. What will you have to do that will keep you from pouring more enthusiasm into songs? I wish you the best in getting this out, let us know when you do, if you like !! |
Thank you =) I'm a big Thelonius fan, and Polonius is a character in Hamlet, so it seemed like a perfect combo...
As for "focusing on what I'll have to do IF I succeed," I guess I should have said "WORRYING about what I'll do when I succeed" - things like making the transition from a day job to a job with an irregular income (since I have a family and a mortgage), the fact that I may have to fly and tour, etc...
I guess I should be trusting the universe...And I've had similar worries along the way here (What if I get stage fright? What if I forget the song?) that in retrospect smoothed themselves out very nicely - the worries weren't unfounded, but sometimes the best thing to do is just acknowledge the worry and keep on moving forward...
Thanks for writing back, Ati, this looks it may be a good thread!
