Only reminescent of the final PHC in 1986, the demeanor is still there, and appropriate for these last few hours.
Garrison Keillor's show always had home-grown dignity, but the final one in 1986 was well produced and billed. He of course came back some 18 months later and, even after a mild stroke, is still going strong.
I'd like to dedicate this to Dorothy, whose love for me prompted her to buy tickets to the "First Annual Final show" in Radio City Music Hall. She could ill-afford to do this, but that what Love does.
She passed away in 1995, but her spirit...and PHC...still live on. Chet Atkins & Leo Kottke "Sleepwalk" - YouTube
Chet Atkins is blind, for those unaware of it.
