Well, I didn't notice much "riff-raff" here, but I guess we're all at different levels of PD. If you put it on a scale of levels 1-5, I suppose Steve would want to interact with the 4s and 5s.
The thing is, that seems to be the intention of the other forum too. A lot of people still like this forum, so this could be an opportunity for someone who could put together something similar. Many of us are still at levels 1-3.
I don't think charging a fee is the answer. That's similar to charging for membership to a gym. People at all levels start out gung-ho with great intentions then fall off, or never do more than walk on the treadmill. Even when they see the money going to waste, they aren't motivated anymore.
Probably if there is a new type of forum, there would be criteria like you would have to show you were already at least a level 3; similar to his criteria for consultations.
I'm still curious about his big new unnamed thing that he was working on. Maybe this will converge with a new type of forum.
