I think the point of having to choose what to eat can be the weak point, perhaps more than what you eat (of those choices). Although, of those options, soup would probably be my choice.

Try picking one and eating it every day for a week. Or assigning one to each day of the week.

The two times I've been relatively successful on eating, I ate the same thing every weeknight. For one period of a number of months, I had BBQ pork wonton soup (light on the meat, heavy on the greens) at a local Thai restaurant where we know the cook, every day (I had a routine of going to my walking partner's house directly after work for a walk in his hilly neighborhood, then we would go out share an order of the soup). For the last year, I've been making a batch of bean, pea or lentil soup or stew every weekend (different seasonings on different weeks), then freezing in individual portions, putting one portion to thaw every morning and eating that for dinner every night. Sometimes I have extra servings from previous weeks so might mix it up a little that way.

This works because I truly don't mind eating the same every night, but if I get home and have to decide what to eat ... I will go for easy and not necessarily what I need to eat at that time (pint of Haagan Dasz coffee ice cream, for example )

Good luck, hope this helps.
