Where is the post with what happened? From what I understand a bunch of people tried to start their own forum right?
The problem with a forum is that it makes it really difficult to control your image. So if you call it the "Steve Pavlina" forums and people are calling into question your theories it could result in undermining those theories.
Idk if personal growth means having to eventually come to the realization that you might have been wrong about a lot of the things you think are right. If people start to agree with that concept and if Steve himself were to start to agree with that concept then how do you make any money off all your previous content?
Wouldn't making money off things you know to be wrong be like having succeeded at selling snake oil? It would make you a Bernie Madoff of self-help.
I figure you can buy all the self help you want if you have enough dough.
I'm going to be straight up with you here. If you actually let people be honest you would grow more. If you don't let people call you out on what they think is nonsense then you're just letting your ego hurt you. You just haven't figured it out yet. It's easier just to shut it down.
