Steve, I really appreciate all the trouble you went to to keep this forum going as long as you did.
In the brief time when I ran my own forum years ago, I felt so burdened by it and I was so relieved when I finally couldn't continue it anymore (thanks to the social networking site it was on changing its rules).
My forum had been taking way too much time/energy away from things that I felt would probably, down the road, contribute a lot more value to people (and improve my own life as well) than if I continued unhappily forcing myself into a role I just wasn't naturally suited to, or even really drawn to (except in theory).
So, I sympathize a lot with your blog post and totally support you in your decision to close the forum.
I look forward to all the awesome things you'll be creating in the future. Thanks for everything.
I was too shy/busy/etc. to post as much as I otherwise might have here, and no one here knows me very well, but, thanks to everyone for making this forum such an awesome, fascinating, helpful place.
