I remember a stormy June afternoon in Washington, D.C. sitting in front of my radio, hanging on to every note and word of the final broadcast of "A Prairie Home Companion" in 1986.

I went on to sit in front of the radio and listen to no fewer than three stations go off the air, over the years, faithfully sitting there, unable to do much but let my heart beat, and know that it's over.

And I watched as forums deteriorated to non-existance.

Another notch in my emotions, today, but from the previous experiences, I take it a bit different, now.
