Tanemon - Thanks for bringing this up. I wasn't trying to invalidate anyone's experience of expansion and increasing consciousness. What I was attempting to say to Space was that anything physical tends to have a deeper origin on an energetic level, then suggest some things to look at to help us all with our internal flow. For her and perhaps others, the discomfort from physical sensations are a sign that something deeper needs to be attended to. Having just talked with her on the phone yesterday after this was posted, she saw how she can bring more awareness into a situation to shift it, which changes her body experience and energy flow.

What you're talking about sounds more like an affect than a symptom, but that's just semantics. The physical sensations that you're referring to sound more like the affects of chi/kundalini rising, especially if you're feeling it in the spine, back of the neck, skull or brain stem. Sounds wonderful! And I stand by my original statement - our physical form is still reflecting our internal and energetic state. If we are internally-aligned (i.e. matching our thoughts, feelings, words and actions), then we are going to feel a smoother energetic flow and even increased energy as there is less resistance. And when we have resistance/conflict, this creates a different physical sensation.

For example, I had a friend who wanted shakti-pa, to have a mystic raise his kundalini so that he could become enlightened. The mystic warned him that he wasn't ready for it and that it should come naturally. He persisted. The mystic helped get his kundalini moving up the spine, but my friend still had conflict in the form of not asking for what he wanted. The blockage was centered around the throat chakra. So the energy moved up his spine, stopped at his throat, then had to find a way to release, so it went out his arms. The energy literally blew his arms out of the sockets - dislocated his shoulders. The expansive body sensations are the affect of chi moving, the energetic blockage in the throat is a symptom of internal conflict, the dislocation is the affect of the chi trying to move, and the pain of the dislocation is the physical symptom of the conflict. I also know of people who have experienced their chi moving up and awakened naturally because of their internal alignment - no blocks that show up on an energetic level to stop the flow of chi.

And to use your analogy, since our consciousness is getting even more excited right now, the pressure to the garden hose keeps increasing. Regardless of what's happening on the outside or the amount of energy we have, our flow still depends on whether the hose is blocked (conflict) or clear (internal alignment), which will give us different body sensations and consciousness experiences.

So to give a more accurate statement about physical symptoms and affects - The more we know ourselves and are internally-aligned, the more the unpleasant body sensations, which are trying to attract our attention to get completion, subside. As we increase in consciousness and love, we can still have a variety of body sensations, some of which will seem pleasant, and others which might seem scary because they are unknown or unfamiliar. The more we know ourselves, the easier all of this becomes, especially the unknown and unfamiliar.
