Twitter is good, and actually it has been driving 46% of my traffic recently due to paid tweets, but it's not a long term solution. It's not you. It's not yours.

If you really want to go the free route, use Blogger or Wordpress, at least they can be customized with some learning, but I still highly encourage aspiring professionals to pay for a quality service. I recommend Squarespace. Others on this board like SBI and self hosted Wordpress blogs.

I see all your points i never thought about content ownership.... however blogs on wordpress and blogger can also be banned. So r u saying that twitter cant be a long term vehicle to build a personal brand??
