These books are a good start, and once you begin to be interested in this area, you may find that other good reads "present" themselves to you for lack of a better term.

My advice is to read books from a wide range of authors and points of view--the ideas you see cross-referenced from many perspectives are the ones to pay the most attention to.

I also recommend journaling as a way of reflecting on what you read. It achieves some of the results Shamou references in his advice to really dig into one book, but also leaves you time to read a wide range of perspectives.

(I recommend a wide range of perspectives because while there is an occasional genius in the wilderness out there who has profound things to say that are not repeated elsewhere, much more common is the crackpot trying to take your money. In between are smart people with good experience who have written valuable books with important guidance. In the beginning you should shoot for the middle ground as you are likely not able to tell the genius from the crack-pot.)
