The one-pieceness of an iPad is actually a significant difference with the two-pieceness of a laptop.

When you try reading a book on a laptop and a book on a Kindle, you will see the difference.

An ipad is something cosy and compact to use, when you are in bed, or in a sofa, or a plane seat. Much more so than a laptop.
