I am no longer a lawyer. I prefer to work less and earn more. Which is what I'm currently doing.
It is true that I used to be quite a driven person. That was in the old days, before I started learning about LOA. Since then, I have lost a lot of drive. For me, drive seems less relevant nowadays.
Drive is necessary to get yourself to go out there into the world, take action and get the things you want. With LOA, the things more or less come to you by yourself.
This is not merely my own experience. It is my wife's experience as well. When I first introduced her to the Law of Attraction, she naturally thought I was crazy. Then she thought I must be just talking about an extreme form of "positive thinking".
Finally she started trying it herself, and now she is doing it every day, and she is getting powerful results. There is no doubt in her mind now that the Law of Attraction, well, works.
By the way, Mrs ALG is a lawyer too. In fact she is the General Counsel (that means "Boss of the entire Legal Department") of a multinational corporation. Not bad for a 33-year-old person.
I have noticed qualitative differences in the way Mrs ALG and myself use LOA. I believe that LOA works somewhat differently for everyone - the differences arise from the fact that everyone has a different personality and thinks in different ways.
I have to set aside time, eg at least 15 or 20 minutes, for doing IM exercises. Mrs ALG just manifests "on the go", as she goes about her daily routine. I go for big ambitious targets. Mrs ALG goes for numerous small little things throughout the day.
I'll give you an example. Yesterday Mrs ALG went shopping. She bought $X worth of things in a single receipt, and was entitled to a instant lucky dip. It's the kind of lucky dip where everyone will definitely win a prize, except that most prizes are quite small / low in value.
All the prizes are on display. Mrs ALG looks at them, and decides that she would like to win a $100 voucher for some woman stuff (nail spa, hairdressing and God knows what). Before she does the lucky dip, she stands aside for 20 seconds, to get the $100 voucher.
She then goes to the counter and does the lucky dip. She pulls out a number. She doesn't get the $100 voucher. Instead she gets some other prize, (a lipstick or something).
The woman at the counter starts hunting for the lipstick, but can't find it. Maybe it's out of stock.
The woman at the counter says, "We are so very sorry, but we don't seem to have the [lipstick] anymore. As a replacement, I'll let you pick any other prize you want."
So Mrs ALG picks the $100 voucher.
