I'm a new member here and this is my first post. It's nice to meet all of you.
There is a certain "problem" I have had with my eyes for many years (I'm 17 now) and up until now I have ignored it because it never harmed me. It only occured to me recently that it could be something serious and I should check it out. Basically, I see little specks of grey and what appear to be faint curvy lines sometimes moving about, as if they were floating around me. I never see them in the dark, only in areas where there is light. I remember I was very scared the first time I noticed them, but they never did anything to me so I gradually just accepted that they were there. Now I can't remember them ever NOT being there.
So, my question is: does anyone recognize these as symptoms for some kind of eye problem, or maybe this is something completely normal and I'm just not aware that other people see this stuff too, or...I don't know...is it something more? I didn't want to immediately say they are ghosts or spirits or whatever because that thought sort of scares me...
So I am considering the possiblity of it being some eye problem. Oh, and I am near-sighted and wear glasses, if that helps in any way.
I was a bit hesitant to ask this at first because it sounds kind of ridiculous, but I'm being serious. If this sounds too vague then please tell me what to elaborate on and I will. Any responses are appreciated.
