I'm in the same boat. While there a lot of great guys out there (a LOT!!) all the ones I've come across in the last year or three just don't spark any real interest in me and come with big, clear dealbreakers, as far as my list goes. Somehow, though, I'm sure that amazing guy I've asked for is on his way, and I'm happy to wait for him.
You and I probably do have some limiting beliefs, and I don't know what they are. However, I can point you towards some things I've read recently that I credit for my positive feeling about the whole thing, which is a big part what's attracting him!
Meeting your Half-Orange, by Amy Spencer -- the writing style is a bit cutesy/Cosmo for my taste, but it was inspiring notheless. I'd actually give it points for
not mentioning LOA by name
