I would agree with you on going soley for a diagnosis, if it wasn't for the nasty habit some doctors have of scaring their patients into medical treatment as well.
Doctor, "If you don't take the blood pressure medication... You will die."
This could very well be true if the patient did absolutely nothing about their condition, but it should also be the doctors responsibility to help them identify, natural treatments when they exist, instead of only highlighting the one that makes them money in the process.
