Being a Vedic Astrologer, I used to locate lost items through Horary Astrology called "Prasna", which is near to cent percent right. One could pinpoint the place,person or the status of the items lost using horary astrology. It is quite common in India espcially in Kerala to approach an expert conventional Horary Astrologer for retreiving lost and stolen items.

As for the Psychic techniques "Mantras" for retreiving the lost items( there are specific deities ( Saints as per western belief))are found to be effective. Yet another method is intense concentartion on the item lost and mental retreival by whatever visualization you are comfortable with .

All said and done there are occasions when nothing works . It means that there is someone who is in need of it badly than the person who lost it or still he/she might no longer requires the same . The item might also be a stumbling block/ disturbance/danger to the person concerned.
