Usually, if the ban is not for spamming, then it's safe to assume it's for breaking rules repeatedly. The ban is never for a single instance, in case of senior members.
I think the key thing to remember is to have mutual respect for other person and not to forget the main reason why we are here. To have intelligent and inspiring interactions.
